Chocolate Chip Cookies and Playdates -

You lot know a sure burn fashion to wear out a kid, and their mom? Accept another kid over. Koa had his offset "playdate" this week, with his all-time friend Sam. He got this kitchen from Santa, and has been asking ever since, for Sam to come over and "melt" with him. So, Sam came over on Friday. They played outside, inside, outside again, in his room, in the living room, outside over again. They only came in because I said nosotros could make cookies. Koa and Sam were cooking "fish soup" (goldfish crackers) that needed to sit on the stove for "20 hundred minutes" and "fish and chocolate chip cookies" which needed to be in the oven for "fiftythirty minutes" (that's totally an amount of time right? haha) so they had some fourth dimension to bake some real cookies while they waited for their delicious nutrient to be finished. (Yous know you are drooling over fish and chocolate chip cookies.)

Anybody looks for a good chocolate chip cookie recipe. I accept one that makes virtually a zillion cookies, that I will mail service one of these days, only sometimes you also need a recipe that makes just enough cookies to satisfy your craving, but non make enough to sit effectually the house for days. This recipe is all of that. It makes just enough, is easy, and best part, no refrigerating the dough! I've said before, I have niggling patience. If I want to make cookies, I desire to make them and bake them. Not make them and await ii hours to bake. And expert luck telling a three yr one-time and 5 year quondam that they have to wait ii hours to consume their cookies. Yeah right!

I like my chocolate fries cookies simply a piffling mashy. Not completely under cooked, simply just soft enough. These are perfect if you accept them out at around ix minutes. Just slight browning on the edges, and they are perfect.

Ingredients

• 1 ane/4 cup flour
• ane/ii tsp blistering soda
• 1/4 tsp salt
• 1/4tsp cornstarch
• 1/ii cup butter (one stick)
• 1/ii cup chocolate-brown saccharide, firmly packed
• 1/3 loving cup white sugar
• 1 tsp vanilla
• one egg
• ane/2 - i cup chocolate chips (whatsoever diversity(

Instructions

• Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment newspaper or silpat sheets.(or spray with not stick spray)
• Using a paw held or a stand mixer bowl cream butter, dark-brown sugar, and white sugar until smooth.
• Add vanilla and egg and mix until fluffy.
• In a small-scale bowl combine flour, baking soda, cornstarch and salt.
• Add flour mixture to butter mixture slowly mixing until combined.
• Add chocolate chips and mix in with a spoon.
• Spoon or roll dough into balls and place on baking sheet leaving space between each.
• Bake for 9 minutes and cool on cooling racks.

Notes

I used mini chocolate chips for these. So here was a little chocolate in every seize with teeth! I apply a small ice cream scoop to scoop my cookie dough. It makes uniform sized cookies, and no messy hands.

Recipe For a Sugariness LIfe

Koa and Sam played, they ate their cookies, with milk of course, cooked some delicious "food" , built rockets, played cars and trucks, and but enjoyed each other. They actually were adorable to sentry. These two kiddos dear each other so much its heartwarming. And they fifty-fifty cleaned up their messes!

But, the best role happened after Sam went home. She was here for virtually 4 hours, and it was not finish get go go the whole time she was here. Only holy cow, when she left, you would have thought Koa was never going to meet her once more. He lost his heed. He started crying and asking,

"Whhhhhyyyyyy???? Why Mommy? Why does Sam have to become dwelling house?"

Me: Beloved, she had to get home and eat dinner, and go to bed. Just like yous"

Koa: Nooooo. She need to be at MY house. She needs to come back hither and play with me!

Me: She needs to be at her firm this night beloved. Y'all'll encounter her again.

Koa: I want to come across her now. Not later. Noooowww…

And it went on like this. Did I tape this you ask? Why yes. Yeah I did. It was so deplorable, and so sweet all at the same time. Sam left at 4. He went on like this for at least 45 minutes. He even took a bath during that time and cried for Sam through the bath. So he asked me if he could take Cheerios for dinner.

"I can eat my Cheerios and so I am prepare to go to bed I think."

It was 4.45! But ok. And sure plenty. He ate, and fell asleep on my lap on the burrow at 5.30. They wore each other out.

Saturday morning, he was asking again. Why did she have to become dwelling?
